Gabriele is a PhD candidate in Classical Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem within the MSCA Doctoral Network MECANO ("The Mechanics of Canon Formation and the Transmission of Knowledge from Greco-Roman Antiquity"), supervised by Prof. Orly Lewis (HUJI) and co-supervised by Prof. Jan Opsomer (KU Leuven). His research focuses on Hellenistic medicine, particularly the development of pulse diagnosis and theories of pulse physiology. He holds a BA in Humanities and an MA in Classical Philology from the University of Macerata, and spent two semesters (2023, 2024) as a visiting student at the University of Vienna. More broadly, he is interested in the interplay between medicine, literature, and philosophy in the Graeco-Roman world.
