מלגת פוסט-דוקטורט (2024-2026)
Call for applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship for 2024/2026
The Edelstein Center at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem aims to support and promote outstanding research in the history and philosophy of science, technology, and medicine. The Center’s two-year postdoctoral fellowship provides a stipend of close to $30,000 per year, access to The Edelstein Collection (Chemistry, Alchemy, Dyeing, and Nutrition), the Albert Einstein Archives, the Yehuda Theological Collection of Isaac Newton, and the Friedenwald Collection (History of Medicine), as well as the general collections of the Hebrew University. Fellows will also be provided with generous office space on the Safra Campus and the opportunity to interact with faculty members and fellows of the Hebrew University.
The fellowship begins in October 2024. Fellows are expected to dedicate their time to research and contribute to the Center’s regular activities. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in the history or philosophy of science, technology or medicine, or in another relevant discipline so long as their research is related to the Center’s areas of interests. Candidates must have received their degree no earlier than September 30, 2019 and no later than October 1, 2024.
Applications must include:
(1) Research proposal (no longer than 750 words)
(2) Curriculum vitae including a list of publications
(3) Writing sample (such as a dissertation chapter and dissertation abstract, or an article which is under review or has been published)
(4) Two letters of recommendation

מרכז אדלשטיין מתכבד להציע תמיכה בכנסים העוסקים בתחומי העניין של המרכז. תמיכת המרכז מתבצעת בשני אופנים – תמיכה כספית, באמצעות מימון הוצאות הכנס מתקציב המרכז המיועד לכך, ותמיכה באירוח, באמצעות העמדת חדר הסמינרים של המרכז לרשות הכנס.
הגשת המועמדות צריכה לכלול:
- טופס בקשה מקוון
- תיאור נושא הכנס, רשימת דוברים ודוברות וכותרות ההרצאות
- פירוט הוצאות מתוכננות
את הבקשה יש להגיש דרך האתר scholarships.huji.ac.il
בכל התלבטות באם הכנס המוצע נמצא בתחומי המחקר של המרכז או בסוגיה אחרת הכרוכה בהגשה, פנו אלינו ונשמח לייעץ edelstein.center@mail.huji.ac.il.

תמיכה בנסיעות לחו"ל
מרכז אדלשטיין מתכבד להציע תמיכה כספית בנסיעות לחו"ל. על המועמדים/ות להיות תלמידים/ות מצטיינים/ות ותלמידי/ות בתר-דוקטורט מכל מחלקה באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים, אשר נושא מחקרם/ן נמצא במסגרת תחומי העניין של המרכז, דהיינו ההיסטוריה והפילוסופיה של המדע, הטכנולוגיה והרפואה.
הגשת המועמדות צריכה לכלול:
- טופס בקשה מקוון
- גיליון ציונים
- קורות חיים
- מכתב הזמנה מהמוסד המארח
- מכתב הסבר שיפרט את השיקולים האדמיים לתמיכה בנסיעה
- פירוט הוצאות משוער
